The Food | The Atmosphere
The Concept
Located in Ubud, the heart of Bali's artistic center, the
challenge was to create a unique space for the enjoyment and indulgence of
the pleasure of art and dining.
True to its very
traditional Balinese name ( a "Lamak"
is a carefully crafted element of sacred offerings, so intricate that it is only created for special ceremonial occasions), the restaurant incorporates local wood, stone, textiles and images. The innovative interpretation of tradition is reflected in both the design and food of Lamak.
The Balinese passion for the use of a myriad of bright color is reflected in the bold black and white Bali poleng of rattan lounge chairs, primary blue splashes of al-fresco tables, Dutch colonial style hand painted tiles, set
against striking burgundy colored walls.
