Made Wijaya
Made Wiajaya, born Michael White in Sydney, Australia was an architecture student traveling in
the Indonesian archipelago when he leapt overboard and swam to Bali’s southern shore during
a rainstorm in 1973. He has made his home in Bali ever since. His Balienese name was given to
him by the Brahmana family who welcomed him into their fold and introduced him to the
Balinese Hindu religion and complex culture from which he drew his passion and inspiration.
Made has won multiple awards and worked on countless of projects across the globe. We are
both proud and pleased to feature his majestic design at Lamak.
